    UCLA Women's Tennis Shuts Down Trojans 6-3

    LOS ANGELES - Sweeping all three doubles matches, UCLA's fourth-ranked women's tennis team topped 24th-ranked USC 6-3 Thursday at Marks Tennis Stadium, leaving the Trojans winless in the Pac-10 South.

    UCLA (9-3, 4-1) and USC (4-9, 0-5) split six singles matches. USC's Veronika Safarova, Eva Jimenez and Jacqui Boyd each won her singles match. After falling behind to UCLA's Kati Kocsis 7-6 in the first set, Trojan Ditta Huber, came back to top Kocsis 1-6 in the second set, but fell 7-5 in the third set.

    UCLA's doubles teams then topped the Trojans 8-6, 8-5, 9-7 for the win.

    The Kocsis-Huber singles match will be televised by FOX Sports West 2 on Friday, March 14, at 7 p.m.

    The Trojans will resume action Wednesday, March 19, at home against Boise State at 1:30 p.m.
