    Anderson Qualifies For Olympics In Open Water

    USC rising senior All-American Haley Anderson, who won her first NCAA title in March, earned a spot on the USA Olympic Swim team with a first-place finish at the FINA Olympic Marathon Swim Qualifier in Setubal, Portugal.

    Anderson was one of two Americans in the race. Needing a top 10 finish and to be the top American finisher, Anderson won the race in 1:44:30.6, edging Hungary's Eva RIsztov by 1.4 seconds.

    The other American entry, Ashley Twichell, finished fourth in 1:44:37.7.

    Anderson will look to add to her Olympic schedule at the U.S. Swimming indoor Trials, which begin June 25 in Omaha, Neb.
