Recent USC graduate Haley Anderson, a two-time 2013 NCAA title winner and a 2012 Olympic silver medalist, won a U.S. National title in the U.S. open water 5K on Sunday (May 19) in Santa Clarita, Calif.

With the win, Anderson earned a berth at this summer's world meet in Barcelona, Spain.

Anderson pulled away from the lead pack with just under 1,000 meters to go and won in 1:00:36.51, just ahead of Becca Mann (1:00:38.04) and Emily Brunemann (1:00:38.38).

Anderson also competed in the 10K over the weekend, taking eighth.
