    Lendrum, Godbe, Lim, Basaraba Lead Pac-12 Academic Team Selections

    USC senior Alex Lendrum, juniors Michael Godbe and Lynette Lim and sophomore Andrea Basaraba were named 2013 Pac-12 Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving All-Academic first team sections while senior Blake Cushing and sophomore Cary Wright were tabbed as second teamers as the conference released its full All-Academic teams Friday (April 12).

    Lendrum, named the Pac-12's Men's Swimming and Diving Scholar-Athlete of the Year in March and who was a 2012 Capital One Academic All-America second teamer, earned his third straight conference All-Academic first team nod while it was Godbe's second in a row. It is Lim's and Basaraba's first first-team selections. Cushing repeated as a second-team selection while it is a first for Wright. Freshmen and first-year transfers are not eligible for the academic teams.

    Juniors Jack Wagner and Nick Johnson repeated as honorable mention selections while sophomores Chad Bobrosky and Cristian Quintero earned their first.

     

     

    Eight Trojan women earned Pac-12 honorable mention notice, including seniors Jessica Schmitt, Kate Shumway and Chelsea Wild, juniors Kasey Carlson, Stina Gardell and Meghan Hawthorne and sophomores Andrea Kropp and Rebecca Heyliger. Shumway, Carlson, Gardell and Hawthorne were all repeat honorable mention picks while Wild and Schmitt earned their third such honors.
