Sophomore Kaitlin Sandeno finished second in the 200m fly and set a school record in the process, highlighting USC's efforts on the second day of the U.S. Spring Nationals in Indianapolis, Ind.
Sandeno swam a 2:10.02 to finish second to Georgina Lee's 2:09.48. Sandeno broke Jean Todisco's 1996 mark of 2:12.97. Sophomore Margie Pedder took seventh in the event in 2:14.00.
Among the former Trojans competing were USC greats Lindsay Benko, Lenny Krayzelburg and Tamas Kerekjarto. Benko was second in the 100m free (55.37) and sixth in the 200m back (2:16.92) while Krayzelburg was second in the 200m back (1:57.46), behind Michael Phelps' 1:57.04. Kerekjarto was fifth in the 200m fly (2:01.10).
