    USC senior diver Victoria Ishimatsu qualified for her fourth straight NCAA Championships by winning the 1-meter springboard on Thursday (March 8) at the 2012 NCAA Zone E Diving Championships at the U.S. Air Force Academy's Cadet Natatorium in Fort Collins, Colo.

    Ishimatsu, a three-time All-American coming off a pair of springboard titles at the 2012 Pac-12 Championships, won the 1-meter today with 626.80 points, safely ahead of Arizona's second-place Samantha Pickens (615.25) and ASU's third-place Elina Eggers (586.80). It marked her third consecutive Zone E win on 1-meter.

    Trojan freshman Jordan Gear was 16th in the men's 3-meter (614.05) in his first-ever Zone E competition.

    Ishimatsu will go for her third Zone E victory in a row on 3-meter on Friday with prelims at 11 a.m. MST and finals at 1:45 p.m. The men's 1-meter prelims are at 11 a.m. with the final at 12:45 p.m. Women's platform prelims begin at 11 a.m. Saturday with finals at 12:30 p.m. Men's platform prelims are at 3:30 p.m. with finals at 5 p.m.
