    Palo Alto, Calif. - The No. 1 ranked USC women's swimming and diving team came up short against No. 2 Stanford, 158-137, at the Avery Aquatic Center Saturday afternoon. Senior co-captain Haley Anderson, a 2012 Olympic silver medalist, won two events for USC.

    The loss was the first of the season for the top-ranked Women of Troy (9-1, 5-1 Pac- 12). The Cardinal, on senior night, won its fifth-consecutive dual meet to improve to (7-1).

    The Women of Troy were coming off a 155-145 victory over the two-time defending national champion and current No. 7 California on Friday.

    Anderson won the 1000 Free (9:53.52) and 500 Free (4:46.71). Junior Lynette Lim finished second behind Anderson on the 500 Free (4:48.05)

    Redshirt sophomore Andrea Kropp earned nine points by finishing first in the 200 Breast (2:11.73)

    Redshirt sophomore Haley Ishimatsu won the 1-meter dive with a score of 301.88.

    Freshman Jasmine Tosky, swimming in her hometown of Palo Alto, participated in four events, finishing third in the 200 free (1:48.22) and the 100 fly (54.16).

    The Women of Troy have a break before hosting rival UCLA in the final regular season meet of the season on February 16 at 12:00 p.m. PT.
