THIS SEASON: Brianna Weinstein, a 2016 junior, continues in her role as a key breaststroker and medley swimmer for the Trojans, lending depth and scoring punch in both events.
2015: As a 2015 junior, Weinstein again raced in three events at the 2015 Pac-12 Championships, taking 17th in the 400y IM (4:21.19), 18th in the 200y IM (2:01.58) and 19th in the 200y breast (2:15.09), all season-best times. Her 200y IM and breast times were NCAA consideration marks and PRs ... She was named to the 2015 Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention team for the second year in a row.
2014: Weinstein, as a 2014 sophomore, competed in three events at the Pac-12s, taking 15th in the 200y breast (2:15.83), 16th in the 400y IM (4:21.94) and 24th in the 100y breast (1:04.28) ... She was named to the 2014 Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention team.
2013: Weinstein raced in three events at the 2013 Pac-12s as a freshman, taking 18th in the 100y breast (1:04.76), 19th in the 200y breast (2:15.83), and 24th in the 400y IM (4:23.26) ... At the 2012 U.S. Winter Nationals, she was 38th in the 200y breast (2:18.20) and 43rd in the 200y IM (2:04.31).
HIGH SCHOOL: Weinstein, who attended Irvine (Calif.) High, earned All-Orange County honors as a 2011 junior and competed in the 400m IM and the 200m breast at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials ... She was a 2011 Junior Nationals `B' finalist in the 200m breast and at the 2011 CIF Southern Section Championships, she was third in the 100m breast and fourth in the 200y IM. She represented the U.S. at the 2009 Maccabiah Games in Israel, winning silver in the juniors 200m breast.
