THIS SEASON: Jasmine Tosky, a career five-time All-American, World Championship relay gold medalist and a 2011-2012 national teamer, is poised to continue her strong success as a 2015 junior.
2014: Tosky was a three-time All-American as a sophomore at the 2014 NCAA Championships and scored individually twice. She anchored USC's fourth-place 800y free relay and sixth-place 400y free relay, whose prelim 3:12.84 set a school record. She also helped USC to seventh in the 400y medley relay. Individually, she won the `B' final of the 200y IM (1:56.37), finished 16th in the 200y fly (1:58.42) and was 46th in the 100y fly (53.70) ... She was a two-time finalist at the 2014 Pac-12 Championships, finishing fifth in the 200y IM (1:56.39) and sixth in the 200y fly (1:56.57). She was also 11th in the 100y fly (53.32) ... She competed at the 2014 U.S. Summer Nationals and was 26th in the 200m IM (2:17.70), 33rd in the 200m fly (2:14.26), 44th in the 100m fly (1:01.05), 49th (27.96) in the 50m fly and 58th in the 200m free (2:03.94).
2013: Tosky was a two-time All-American as a 2013 freshman, highlighted by a fifth-place finish in the 200y fly (1:55.11) at the NCAAs. She was the top seed out of prelims with a 1:53.03. She helped USC to sixth in the 800y free relay and was 17th in the 100y fly (52.79) and 19th in the 200y IM (1:57.82) ... She was a two-time finalist at the 2013 Pac-12s, taking third in the 200y fly (1:55.49) and eighth in the 100y fly (52.34). She was also 17th in the 500y free (4:45.35) ... She also was part of USC's second-place and then-school-record setting 200y free relay (1:28.50) ... Tosky, a national teamer since 2011, claimed gold as part of the U.S. 800m free relay at the 2012 FINA Short Course World Championships in December. Tosky swam in the prelims as the Americans qualified first for the final, ultimately winning gold ... Tosky won a title in the 200y fly (1:54.38) at the 2012 U.S. Winter Nationals and was also fifth in the 100y fly (52.42), sixth in the 200y IM (1:56.67) and fifth in the `B' final of the 200y breast (2:12.86). She also swam on Troy's winning 800y free relay ... Tosky earned a spot on the 2013 U.S. World University Games team after taking second in the 200m fly at the 2012 U.S. Open. She was also third in the 100m fly and fifth in the 200m free ... At the 2013 U.S. Summer Nationals, she was sixth in the 200m fly (2:11.29), seventh in the 200m IM (2:15.00) and second in the `B' final of the 100m fly (59.85) ... At the 2013 World University Games, Tosky swam in a pair of semifinals, taking 12th in the 100m fly (1:00.25) and 15th in the 50m fly (27.39). She also qualified third in the prelims of the 200m fly with a 2:12.24, but did not race in the semifinals.
HIGH SCHOOL: Tosky, who attended Palo Alto (Calif.) High, won a gold medal at the 2011 World Championships after swimming a prelim leg of the U.S. 800m free relay, which went on to win gold. She also swam at the 2010 Short Course World Championships and helped the U.S. set an American record in prelims ... At the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials, Tosky was a finalist in the 200m IM (2:14.67) and a semifinalist in the 100m fly (11th, 59.01) and the 200m free (11th, 1:58.91). She was 21st in the 200m fly (2:13.18) ... The 2011 San Jose Sports Hall of Fame Female High School Athlete of the Year, Tosky won the 100m breast and 100m fly at the 2011 Junior Nationals and also won three golds at the 2010 Junior Pan Pacs (200m IM, 400m and 800m free relays) as well as a silver in the 200m free and bronzes in the 100m free and 100m fly (she was also captain of the U.S. team). She set a national prep record in the 100y fly at the 2011 CIF Central Coast Section Championships, erasing the oldest high school record on the books with a 51.92 (erasing a mark by Misty Hyman). She was a five-time finalist at the 2010 U.S. Nationals.
