THIS SEASON: Sidney Cooke, a 2016 junior, has made big strides in two years as a Trojan and has the potential to be a conference finalist and reliable dual meet scorer.
2015: Cooke posted NCAA consideration times in both the 100y (53.91) and 200y back (1:57.56) as a 2015 sophomore and reached the 'B' final of the 100y back at the Pac-12 Championships, taking 11th (54.46). She was also 17th in the 200y back (1:57.56) and raced in the 50y free. She earned 2015 Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention honors.
2014: Cooke competed in three events as a freshman at the 2014 Pac-12 Championships, taking 20th in the 100y back (55.41), 21st in the 200y back (2:00.02) and 59th in the 50y free (24.39).
HIGH SCHOOL: Cooke prepped at Monte Vista High in Danville, Calif. She swam in both the 100m and 200m back at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials. Cooke has been swimming competitively just for two years. As a 2012 junior, she was second in the 100y back in the CIF North Coast Section Championships.
PERSONAL: Cooke is majoring in communication.
