THIS SEASON: One of the most versatile swimmers on the team, 2000-2001 junior Amy Migawa returns after a year off looking to reach the NCAAs again and become a point-scoring threat for the Women of Troy.

1999-2000: Migawa did not compete as a sophomore in 1999-2000, recovering from shoulder surgery from the previous summer.

1998-99: Migawa competed in three events at the 1999 NCAA Championships as a freshman, taking 25th in the 400y IM (4:23.21) and 36th in the 500y free (4:53.80). She also got disqualified in the 1650y free. She was a two-time finalist at the 1999 Pac-10s, taking fourth in the 400y IM (4:20.19), seventh in the 1650y free (16:49.08) and 11th in the 500y free (4:54.30).

HIGH SCHOOL: Migawa prepped at Driscoll Catholic High in Addison, Ill., and won four state titles. At the 1998 Spring Nationals, she took 13th in the 400m IM (4:55.13), 16th in the 400m free (4:23.04), 18th in the 1500m free (17:02.85) and 20th in the 800m free (8:56.26). She was eighth at the 1997 Nationals in the 800m free. She also finished 12th in the prelims of the 400m free and was 20th in the 200m free. Migawa was an Olympic Trials finalist in 1996 and also finalled in four events at the 1996 U.S. Open, taking third in the 400m IM (4:44.28), fourth in the 200m IM (2:16.51), sixth in the 800m free (8:39.69) and eighth in the 400m free (4:16.05). She was a 1996 Junior National Team member and was the 1996 Illinois High School Association champion in both the 500 free and the 200 IM.

PERSONAL: She was born Jan. 23, 1980. She enjoys roller blading.
