THIS SEASON: Lucy Worrall, a Great Britain native who transferred from Miami in 2014, is a 2016 senior co-captain looking to build off her 2015 Pac-12 final appearance in the 100y fly and NCAA racing as a Trojan. Also talented in the free, she is looking to return as an NCAA individual score.
2015: Worrall competed in both the 100y and 200y fly at the 2015 NCAA Championships as a junior, finishing 25th (52.48, a season best) and 42nd (1:58.19), respectively, in her first year with USC. She also swam on USC's 400y free relay ... She reached the final of the 100y fly at the 2015 Pac-12 Championships, finishing eighth in 52.74, and was 13th in the 200y fly (1:59.33).
2014: Worrall redshirted in her first season at USC.
MIAMI: Worrall finished 13th in the 100y fly for Miami as a sophomore at the 2013 NCAA Championships ... She broke the school record in the 200y fly (1:57.32) during the NCAA prelims ... She broke the ACC record in the 100y fly (51.98 seconds) during ACC prelims and finished second in the ACC finals of the event (52.25) ... She earned 2013 All-ACC Academic recognition ... As a 2012 freshman, Worrall finished fourth in the 100y fly at the 2012 ACC Championships and helped the 200y medley relay to third.
ENGLAND: Worrall, who attended Chester Catholic High, was a British Olympic Trials qualifier in 2012 and reached the final of the 100m fly (1:00.72) ... At the 2011 British Nationals, she was third in the 50m fly (27.70) ... She had a long career as a British junior national competitor, representing England at the World and European Junior Championships.
