    THIS SEASON: Junior Elaine Lim will again provide depth in the free events for the Trojans in 2011.

    2011: Lim, as a 2011 junior, competed at the Pac-10 Championships as an exhibition participant. For the second year in a row, Lim earned Pac-10 All-Academic first team recognition with a 3.75 GPA in business.

    2010: Lim provided depth in the freestyle for the Trojans as a 2010 sophomore ... She earned Pac-10 All-Academic first team honors with a 3.80 GPA in business.

    2009: Lim competed in the freestyle for the Trojans as a 2009 freshman.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Lim prepped at Palm Springs (Calif.) High, where she won 2008 Desert Valley League titles in the 200y and 500y free to help her school to the league title ... She was a three-time USA Swimming Academic All-American and a two-time team MVP.

    CLUB: Palm Springs Piranhas/Dwight Hernandez.

    PERSONAL: She was born on July 12, 1990 and is studying business administration ... Lim, the older sister of Trojan freshman Lynette Lim, is the recipient of a Presidential Academic Scholarship, earned a National Merit Scholarship commendation, was an AP Scholar With Distinction and earned the Bank of America Award in math and science.
