THIS SEASON: Andrea Kropp, a 2012 spring semester transfer from Princeton who was an Ivy League champion last year, will strengthen USC's breaststroke corps and provide depth in the medley and fly as well. Shortly before becoming a Trojan, Kropp took sixth in both the 400m IM (4:47.69) and 200m breast (2:27.27) and was second in the `B' final of the 100m breast and fifth in the `B' final of the 200m IM at the 2011 U.S. Winter Nationals.
PRINCETON: As a freshman at Princeton last season, she won 2011 Ivy League titles in the 100y and 200y breast, helping the Tigers to a team championship. She tied for fourth in the 200y IM and set school records in both breast events.
HIGH SCHOOL: She prepped at Flintridge Sacred Heart in La Canada Flintridge, Calif., where she was a nine-time prep All-American. In 2010, she was fifth in the 200m breast at the 2010 U.S. Nationals and reached the bonus final of the 100m breast. She won the 200m breast at the 2010 Junior Nationals. She was also a two-time All-State and All-CIF honoree in cross country ... She holds Southern California age group records in 400 IM (11-12), 200 breast (11-12) and 100 breast (15-16) ... She holds four school records at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy: 50y free, 100y fly, 100y breast and 200y IM.
