    USC Breezes In Season Opener At WSU

    Simms, Gardell win twice each in first-ever meeting against Cougars.

    THIS SEASON: Kate Davey, a 2013 sophomore, is solid in the butterfly and IM and provides effective dual meet depth.

    2012: Davey raced in the 50y free at the 2012 Pac-12 Championships as a freshman, finishing 59th (26.92). She was also 34th in the 200y fly (2:09.37) and 37th in the 100y fly (59.28).

    HIGH SCHOOL: Davey prepped at Lincoln High in Stockton, Calif., where she was a prep All-American. She won CIF SAC-Joaquin Section titles in the 500y free and the 200y IM in both 2009 and 2010. She was second in the 500y free in 2011 and fifth in the 200y IM.
