THIS SEASON: Lyndsay DePaul, a 2011 senior co-captain, is one of the top butterflyers in the country who owns USC's school record in the 100y fly and parts of four relay records. She is also a national team member in the 100m and 200m fly. At the 2010 Short Course National Championships, she won a title in the 100y fly and helped USC to wins in the 200y free and 400y medley relays.
2010: DePaul was a four-time All-American as a 2009 junior, taking second in the 100y fly in 51.71 (she broke USC's record with a 51.67 in prelims, since broken) and was third in the 200y fly (1:53.19) at the NCAA Championships. She swam the third leg of USC's sixth-place 400y medley relay, anchored USC's seventh-place 800y free relay and was 12th in the 200y IM (1:57.17) ... She was a three-time finalist at the 2010 Pac-10 Championships, taking third in the 100y (51.86) and 200y fly (1:53.88) and fifth in the 200y IM (1:56.45). Her 100y fly was a then-school record. DePaul also swam the second leg in USC's Pac-10-title winning and school-record setting 800y free relay ... She was a four-time finalist at the 2009 Short Course Nationals, finishing third in the 200y fly, sixth in the 400y IM, seventh in the 100y fly and eighth in the 200y IM. At the 2010 Speedo Winter Sectionals, she won the 200y fly in 1:54.55. In USC's final home weekend, she twice set the pool record in the 100y fly, first in 52.86 against Cal and then 52.72 against Stanford.
2009: DePaul redshirted the 2009 season after transferring to USC ... She represented the U.S. at the 2009 World University Games, where she won silver in the 400m IM and the 200m fly.
UC IRVINE: As a 2008 sophomore at UC Irvine, she was a consolation finalist in the 400y IM at the NCAA Championships ... At the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials, she reached the final of the 200m fly, finishing seventh (Trojan teammate Tanya Krisman was fifth in that race) and she just missed making the 400m IM final, finishing ninth. She also competed in the 100m fly, 200m IM and 400m free ... She was the 2007 Big West Athlete of the Year as a freshman and was named a Mid-Major All-American by CollegeSwimming.com ... She was the 2007 Big West champion in the 200y and 400y IM, the 200y fly and the 200y medley relay.
HIGH SCHOOL: DePaul prepped at Villa Park High School, where she was a 22-time high school All-American and was a three-time high school Academic All-American.
