USC Breezes In Season Opener At WSU
Simms, Gardell win twice each in first-ever meeting against Cougars.
THIS SEASON: Kate Davey, a 2012 freshman, is strong in the butterfly and IM and figures to not only provide dual meet help but postseason scoring as well.
HIGH SCHOOL: Davey prepped at Lincoln High in Stockton, Calif., where she was a prep All-American. She won CIF SAC-Joaquin Section titles in the 500y free and the 200y IM in both 2009 and 2010. She was second in the 500y free in 2011 and fifth in the 200y IM.
CLUB/COACH: Ripon Aquatics/Erik Zador.
PERSONAL: She was born on Jan. 2, 1993.
