THIS SEASON: After two seasons competing for UNLV, 2000-2001 junior Allyson Brown will lend depth to the Trojans in the mid-to-distance free events.
UNLV: Brown competed in 1998 and 1999 as a freestyler for UNLV.
HIGH SCHOOL: Brown prepped at Esperanza High in Yorba Linda, Calif., where she posted All-American consideration times in the 500y free. She was an Academic All-American from 1994-1997.
PERSONAL: Her birthday is Oct. 30, 1979. She plans to major in communications. Her sister Lindsay played basketball at Chapman.
