    Carlson, Stewart each win twice for the Trojans, who claim their sixth meet in a row over UCLA.

    THIS SEASON: Ashley Brewer, a 2012 junior transfer from Texas, is a solid performer in the backstroke who will look to be a consistent dual-meet and postseason performer for the Trojans ... At the 2012 U.S. Winter Nationals, she was sixth in the `C' final of the 100y back (55.09) and fourth in the `C' final of the 200y back (1:59.09).

    TEXAS: She competed at Texas in 2011 and 2012. As a 2011 freshman, she was a `C' finalist in both the 100y and 200y back at the Big 12 Championships. She continued to provide backstroke depth as a sophomore in 2012 and qualified for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials in the 100m back, tying for 83rd.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Brewer prepped at Chaparral High in Phoenix, Ariz., where she was a 12-time prep All-American and the 2009 Arizona 4A state champion in the 100y back. She helped Chaparral to a pair of state titles and was named her school's 2010 Female Athlete of the Year.

    PERSONAL: She was born on Dec. 13, 1991 and she is a sociology major ... Her brother Charles played baseball at UCLA and her brother Chase also plays for the Bruins.
