THIS SEASON: Sophomore Sam Adams established herself as one of the conference's top divers as a 2013 freshman and looks to increase her production and possibly nab an NCAA berth as a 2014 sophomore.
2013: Adams was a reliable dual-meet scorer as a 2013 freshman and a two-time Pac-12 finalist, finishing seventh on platform (237.95) and eighth on 3-meter (283.55). She was also 18th on 1-meter (269.55) ... At the Zone E Championships, Adams was seventh on 3-meter (605.45) and eighth on platform (473.50) ... Adams earned CSCAA Scholar All-American honorable mention honors.
HIGH SCHOOL: Adams prepped at Mission Viejo (Calif.) High ... She competed at the 2012 Junior National Diving Championships, taking 42nd on 3-meter and 18th on 3-meter synchro. She was 50th at the 2012 USA Diving Winter Nationals ... Adams was first at the 2012 USA Diving Summer Junior Region 9 Championships on 1-meter and third in it in 2011 ... She placed fifth in the 16-18 division of the 2011 USA Diving Spring Junior West Championships and was third on 1-meter at the 2011 CIF Southern Section Division final. She was fourth at CIF in 2010 and seventh in 2009.
