U.S. Open

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Senior Kristine Quance won three races at the U.S. Open Swimming Championships in San Antonio, TX. She won the 400 IM, 200 breast (within 1/10th of a second of an American record) and the 200 IM (in a meet-record time) and placed second in the 100 breast. For the men, the Trojans had a 1-2-3 in the 200 back, with junior Lenny Krayzelburg in first, assistant coach Brad Bridgewater in second and senior Brad Francis in third. Sophomore Bela Szabados won the 200 and 400 free, Krayzelburg also won the 100 back and senior Jeff Julian took the 200 fly.
