    Trojans Swim Past Anteaters

LOS ANGELES -- The USC men's and women's swimming teams each posted large victories over UC Irvine as the Trojans were impressive once again at the USC McDonald's Swim Stadium. The Lady Trojans swam to a 236-53 mark, and the men came in at 241-56.

The women were absolutely dominating, grabbing the top two spots in every event except for the 1000yd freestyle and the 1m diving. Even in those events, USC laid claim to the top slot.

Some first-place finishers included Kristine Quance in the 200yd butterfly, Karen Campbell in the 50yd freestyle and Natalya Chikina in the 3m diving competition. Allyson Giampietro, Emily Ayers, Mikey Flaherty and Hope Gittings all posted wins as well.

Not to be outdone, the Trojan men were extremely solid as well, grabbing every first-place spot, while two second and three third-place finishes.

David Meca grabbed the 1000yd freestyle, Kent Johnson narrowly beat out teammate Kreg Dolniak in the 200yd freestyle and Brad Francis won the 100yd backstroke by more than three seconds.
