Women's Swimming defeats Florida, Arizona StateLOS ANGELES -- In a double dual meet at the McDonald's Swim Stadium, the USC women's swim team improved to 3-0 by defeating Florida 183-118 and Arizona State 207-91. The Trojans were led by Lindsay Benko who won the 200 freestyle in 1:48.34, 200 backstroke in 1:59.87 and the 500 free in 4:51.06. Kristine Quance also won three events: the 100 breaststroke in 1:02.53, the 200 breaststroke in 2:14.71 and the 400 IM in 4:10.90. The Diving team will return to action when they host the Trojan Diving Invitational Nov. 22-24. Members of the swimming teams will attend both the U.S. Open Championships and the Speedo Cup. Both events will be held from Dec. 5-7. |
