LOS ANGELES - The USC sand volleyball team will head to the Huntington Beach Pier (Huntington Beach, Calif.) for the 2014 EVP (Extreme Volleyball Professionals) Winter Holiday Tour on Saturday, Nov. 15.

The one-day tournament features a men's and women's AAA division, women's AA, women's A, and junior-level divisions. Teams will check in at 7:30 a.m. PT and play is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Among notable collegiate women's pairs competing in the tourney are teams from Arizona, Loyola Marymount, Grand Canyon, Chicago, and UCLA.

For GPS directions to the action, fans can use the following address: 1 Main St., Courts South of Pier, Huntington Beach, CA 92648. The event is sponsored by Wilson, Sockwa, and Gemgear.

The Trojans will split up into eight competing pairs including USC's top-billed duo of sophomores Sara Hughes and Kelly Claes. The Women of Troy's pairs also include Meg Norton and Alexa Strange; Nicolette Martin and Allie Wheeler; Jenna Belton and Paige Hines; Olivia Asprey and Lorna Brandt; Lauren Sieckmann and Alexa Stonish; Marielle Bagnard and Abby Brewer; and Sevana Dvorak and Alexx Murphy.

USC's venture to Huntington Beach holds a little special significance as it is the site at which former Trojan All-American April Ross completed an undefeated 36-0 season and claimed all seven 2014 AVP titles with partner Kerri Walsh Jennings this summer. It was there that the top-ranked pair topped off their season by beating Heather Hughes and Whitney Pavlik in straight sets, 22-20, 21-17.
