    Ross-Walsh Jennings Gut Out Three-Set Victory to Claim Pool C

    RIO DE JANEIRO -- Three-time USC women's volleyball All-American outside hitter April Ross and her partner Kerri Walsh Jennings fought off a gutty performance by Switzerland's duo of Isabelle Forrer and Anouk Vergé-Dépré to win in three sets, 21-13, 22-24, 15-12, at the Beach Volleyball Arena on Wednesday, Aug. 10.

    Representing the United States, Ross and Walsh Jennings remained undefeated and won Pool C with a 3-0 mark. They now qualify for the knockout stages of the Olympic beach volleyball tournament and await their next opponent in the round of 16 on Friday, Aug. 12.
