GULF SHORES, Ala. - USC women's sand volleyball players Kirby Burnham and Stevi Robinson were named the Women of Troy's first-ever sand volleyball All-Americans today (May 4) by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
Burnham and Robinson play as USC's No. 1 pairs team. They have a 21-4 dual match record in 2013 and helped the Women of Troy to a third place tie in the team competition of the just-concluded AVCA Sand Volleyball National Championship. USC lost a heartbreaker today in the semifinals to eventual national titlist Long Beach State, 3-2.
The Burnham-Robinson duo will be among the favorites to win the AVCA pairs national championship on Sunday (May 5).
Burnham is a junior, while Robinson is a graduate student who transferred to USC this year from Pepperdine.
