    The USC women's sand volleyball team (5-2) will participate in the USA Volleyball Beach Collegiate Challenge this Saturday and Sunday (April 14-15) at the pier in Hermosa Beach, Calif. The Women of Troy will face Pepperdine (10-0), Hawaii (2-2), Long Beach State (2-3) and Loyola Marymount (0-4) in dual matches on Saturday beginning at 8 a.m. in action that could help determine the invitees to the upcoming AVCA Collegiate Championships at the end of the month, then there will be a pairs championship on Sunday starting at 9 a.m. USC has placed first (2009), tied for first (2010) and second (2011) in the first 3 Beach Collegiate Challenges.
