    USC Women's Sand Volleyball Beats Pacific In First Road Match Of 2013

    MORAGA, Calif. - The No. 3-ranked USC women's sand volleyball team, playing on the road for the first time in 2013, beat Pacific, 4-1, in a team dual match on Tuesday (March 19) at Commons Park in Moraga, Calif.

    The Women of Troy up their record to 6-2, while new program Pacific fell to 0-2.

    USC to 2-0 sweeps from its first four pairs teams. The No. 1 duo of Kirby Burnham-Stevi Robinson defeated Mia Feiner-Kat Schulz, 21-12, 21-17, No. 2 Katie Fuller-Cinnamon Sary beat Anne-Sophie Bauer-Jennifer Sanders, 21-17, 21-18, No. 3 Eve Ettinger-Brian Russ beat Hannah Clancy-Gillian Howard, 21-14, 21-18, and No. 4 Brooke Fournier-Alexa Stonish defeated Megan Birch-Katy Tagart, 21-13, 21-11. USC's only loss came at the No. 5 spot in 3 sets as Kimmy Whitson-Alicja Wilk outlasted Kati Duddridge-Sam Hirschmann, 15-21, 21-19, 15-11.

    USC returns to Moraga's Commons Park on Wednesday (March 20) for a 3:30 p.m. team dual match against host St. Mary's, another first-year program.
