    USC Women's Sand Volleyball 2014 Season Outlook

    The USC sand volleyball team has its sights set on a national championship as 2014 opens

    Sevana Dvorak enters her first season with the Women of Troy.

    Dvorak was a four-year (2009-12) letterwinning setter at Laguna Beach HS (Calif.) where she earned All-Orange Coast League first team as a 2012 senior... helped her team to the Orange Coast League title four years (2009-12)... a member of the Academic Honor Roll all four years... played on the U19 National Team... current Trojan Alexx Murphy also prepped at Laguna Beach... won a gold medal at the 2011 Volleyball Festival... played for the 900 Sq. Ft. Club for three years and the Tustin VBC for two years... won the USA Jr. National Qualifier in 2012.

    Sevana Marie Dvorak was born on March 14, 1995, in Newport Beach, Calif.... parents are Kim and Rudy Dvorak... father Rudy was an All-American setter at USC in 1986 who led the Trojans to the 1985 and 1986 NCAA Final Four and made the NCAA All-Tournament team both years before he had a successful pro beach career... uncle Dusty Dvorak was a two-time All-American setter at USC (1979-80) who led Troy to the 1977 and 1980 NCAA titles before he guided the U.S. to a gold medal at the 1984 Olympics (regarded as America's greatest male setter, he is a member of the U.S. Volleyball and USC Athletic Halls of Fame and has had his Trojan jersey retired)... aunt Deidra Dvorak played at Stanford and in Europe, while another uncle, Drake Dvorak, played at San Diego State... majoring in business administration.
