    Irvin is a graduate student, who will play on USC's inaugural sand volleyball team for the 2012 season.

    2009
    She played her final indoor season as a 2009 junior for USC, appearing in 20 matches...she had 22 assists (0.67 aps) on the season with one service ace and 28 digs (0.85 dps)...recorded a season-high six assists on Sept. 5 against Northern Arizona...made her debut for USC on August 29 in one set against North Carolina, recording three assists and one dig.

    2008 (Virginia)
    In two seasons at Virginia, she holds the eighth spot on UVA's all-time list for assists...as a sophomore, she made 14 starts in 31 matches...recorded 17 kills (0.15 kps) with 455 assists (3.99 aps), 11 service aces (saps) and 191 digs (1.68 dps)...hit .229 on the season (17-6-48)...had 10 digs in a five-set loss on Sept. 6 against Iowa...in her first major action at setter on Sept. 13 vs. Binghamton, she had 14 assists and seven digs in the 3-0 sweep...posted 24 assists on Sept. 19 in a 3-0 loss against UCLA...had a season-high five kills with 24 assists and 10 digs in a five-set win at Northwestern on Sept. 19...tallied 25 assists and season-high 15 digs in a four-set win on Oct. 4 at Maryland...on Oct. 10 at North Carolina, she had two kills with 18 assists and nine digs...recorded a season-high 27 assists in a five-set loss on Oct. 17 against Duke, adding 11 digs...followed with 24 assists and five digs on Oct. 19 in a four-set win over Wake Forest...had 20 assists and nine digs in a five-set win on Oct. 24 vs. Miami...registered 18 assists in a 3-0 sweep on Nov. 8 against North Carolina State...had a kill with 20 assists and five digs in a four-set win over Maryland on Nov. 14...registered 26 assists and seven digs in four sets on Nov. 21 at Wake Forest...posted a double-double with 12 assists and 10 digs on Nov. 22 at Duke...in her final match of the season on Nov. 28 against Virginia Tech, she had one kill with 21 assists, one service ace and six digs.

    In her freshman season, Irvin was the only player on the Virginia squad to appear in all 121 sets...played in 31 matches with 26 starts...recorded 1,061 assists (8.77 aps) and 282 digs (2.33 dps)...recorded 50 or more assists in eight matches, including four consecutive matches at the end of the season.

    Kelly Anne Irvin was born on May 19, 1989, in Santa Monica, Calif...parents are Chris and Anne...father played men's volleyball at UCLA and was a member of the Bruins' 1974 and 1975 national championship squads...has one brother, Steven, and one sister, Christine...brother plays at Stanford and was a member of the United States Junior National Team...uncle, Greg, played on USC's 1980 men's volleyball national championship squad...her aunt, Diane, played golf at UCLA and went on to play professionally on the LPGA Tour...her uncle, Bobby, was a member of the USC football team (1988-90)...her uncle, Richard, played men's volleyball at UCLA and was a member of the 1970, 1971 and 1972 national championship squads...eight of her relatives have attended USC...favorite movies are Legally Blonde and The Notebook...favorite television shows are Entourage, Grey's Anatomy and Gossip Girl...enjoys listening to Jack Johnson, The Fray and Coldplay...lists Gene Selznick as her biggest sports hero because he taught her how to play volleyball...she earned her bachelor's degree in political science and is working on her master's degree in communications management.
