Trojan great Amy Rodriguez has earned a place on the National Women's Soccer League Best XI Team. This team consists of the 11 most elite players that compete in the NWSL.

Rodriguez is one of three forwards in the NWSL to earn this honor. During the 2014 season, Rodriguez has lead her team, FC Kansas City, in goals. She has scored 14 goals and has had three assists in 23 games of play. In addition to leading her team in goals, Rodriguez and Seattle Reign FC's Kim Little are the NWSL's two leading scorers.

During her time at Troy, Rodriguez was named USC's No. 4 all-time scorer with 31 career goals. She also holds the titles of USC's No. 2 in career game-winning goals with 12, and No. 6 in career assists with 17. In 2008, she was the top draft pick in the Women's Professional Soccer draft, selected by the Boston Breakers. Rodruiguez is also a two-time Olympic gold-medalist for her performances at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympic Games.

In addition to making the NWSL Best XI Team, Rodriguez will take the field with her team in the 2014 NWSL Championship Game between FC Kansas City and Seattle Reign FC. The game, which will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2, kicks off at 3p.m. ET on Sunday, Aug. 31 at Starfire Stadium in Tukwila, Wash.
