LOS ANGELES - Six high school players have signed letters of intent to play for the USC women's soccer program in the 2004 season.

Forward Lauren Brown of Chino Hills (St. Lucy's HS), forward Kaitlyn Kelly of Thousand Oaks (Thousand Oaks HS), defender Katherine Kirst of Canyon Country (Valencia HS), defender Laura McKee of Santa Ana (Foothill HS), midfielder/forward Taylor Smith of Irvine (University HS) and forward Katherine Stolpa of Palo Alto (Palo Alto HS) have signed to play at USC, head coach Jim Millinder announced today.

"I think all of them are very solid players," said Millinder. "They will have the opportunity to play immediately if they work hard and understand the level they have to compete at on a daily basis."

The Women of Troy are coming off a 9-8-4 season, including the program's sixth straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament, and a third-place finish in the Pac-10 Conference.
