LOS ANGELES – USC senior and 2017 National Champion Savannah Levin has signed a pro contract to play for Kopparbergs / Göteborg FC (KGFC) of the prestigious Damallsvenskan, the highest division of women’s soccer in Sweden.

The senior defensive standout earned All-Pac-12 Second Team honors in 2016, helping to lead the Trojans to the program’s second national championship with a 3-1 victory over West Virginia in the Women’s College Cup final in San Jose, Calif. Levin assisted on the first goal of the national championship match.

A Newport Coast, Calif., native, Levin started all 25 games for the Trojans in 2016, and appeared in 86 career games over four years, starting 62 of those games. She tallied two goals this season and added five assists, good for second-most on the team.

Levin, a Psychology major, is a three-time Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention honoree. The team is located in Gothenberg, Sweden, and Levin’s sister, Camille, a 2011 national champion at Stanford, competed for KGFC from 2012-13.

Levin becomes the sixth Trojan off the national championship squad to sign a professional contract.
