USC Makes Final Tournament Statement In 3-0 Win At Oregon State|

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Freshman Jocelyn Hein (Saugus/Saugus HS) scored twice Sunday to lead the USC Trojans to a 3-0 shutout against the Oregon State Beavers in Pac-10 Conference action and the regular season finale for both teams. With the win, the Women of Troy finish third in Pac-10 play with Stanford and await Monday's release of the 64-team NCAA Tournament bracket.
USC improved to 9-7-4 overall and 5-3-1 in conference while Oregon State completes the season with a 7-10-2 mark and 3-5-1 record in the Pac-10.
Junior goalie Julie Peterson (Mission Viejo/Santa Margarita) registered 10 saves for USC and set a school record with her 15th career shutout. She now has seven shutouts on the season.
The Women of Troy scored all three goals in the first half. Rosa Anna Tantillo scored her seventh goal of the season on a penalty kick at 26:49. Hein entered as a sub late in the first half and scored back-to-back goals in a span of 2:24.
