SAN DIEGO - USC got on the board first as junior striker Megan Borman found the back of the net off a rebound to put the Women of Troy up in the 24th minute, but USD fought back, netting the equalizer in the 32nd minute and holding off the Women of Troy's attack through double-overtime at Torero Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

"I thought we played much better than the Friday game," head coach Keidane McAlpine said. "The team played with great energy and created excellent chances. You have to give San Diego a lot of credit because they brought a lot of energy to the game. However, I thought we did enough to win."

The lone Trojan goal came in the 24th minute, when Reilly Parker made a streaking run down the left side to the end line and crossed the ball, which was deflected and found Borman who put away the rebound to put the Trojans up 1-0. The goal was the first of the season for Borman and her fourth career finish. She also led the team with six shots in the match.

Torero goalkeeper Michelle Craft came up with some big saves, including two off dangerous header attempts by Borman and freshman Nicole Molen in the first half.

The Toreros got the equalizer in the 32nd minute, as Rachel Conners received a touch pass right outside the penalty box from Nikki Pappalardo, who connected on a perfect shot to the upper left corner of the net.

Overall the Women of Troy outshot the Toreros 13-6, but were unable to find the back of the net again despite putting the Toreros under time and time again. The Trojans also had nine corner kicks to the Toreros' seven.

The tie breaks the Toreros' 40-game streak of matches coming to a decision.
