    Erica Vangsness enters her second season at USC as a physical presence off the bench for the Trojans.

    Vangsness appeared in 13 games in her first season at USC after transferring from Pierce College... Scored one goal, in the final minute vs. San Diego on Aug. 21.

    AT PIERCE COLLEGE: Vangsness was named 2010 Conference Player of the Year and was a two-time all-conference first team pick... Also named to all-region team in 2010... Scored 12 goals with five assists in her first season and 29 goals and 19 assists in her second season... An honor student.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Vangsness was a four-year varsity player at University High in Los Angeles... Twice named team MVP... Played club for Galaxy Alliance... An honor student.

    PERSONAL: Vangsness is majoring in publicy policy and development... Parents are Kristin Johnson and Tom Vangsness... Has three siblings, C.T., Kella and James...
