YouTube sensation Sam Gordon paid a visit to campus to meet USC goalkeeper Caroline Stanley.
THIS SEASON Caroline Stanley enters her first season of competition at USC after joining the program in spring 2012.
AT MISSOURI Stanley played one season at Missouri before transferring to USC in spring 2012... Appeared in four games, making four saves and allowing no goals.
NATIONAL TEAMS Has competed with the U.S. Under-20 National Team... With U.S. Under-17 team, played in CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying... With Under-15 team, had the penalty kick save to beat Costa Rica.
HIGH SCHOOL Stanley earned back-to-back Goalkeeper of the Year honors from the Missouri State High School Soccer Coaches Association... Posted 11 shutouts and allowing just 18 goals in 21 games during her senior season at Lee's Summit North High in Lee's Summit, Mo.... Had at least two saves in every shootout she's played in... Earned 2010 and 2011 Class 3 first-team all-state honors and was an Examiner All-Area first team selection... Played club for KCFC Intensity, Scream and Pink Panthers... Won four state titles and won 2011 summer nationals with KCFC, making three saves in a shootout to win... An honor student... Was class treasurer.
PERSONAL Stanley is majoring in communications... Parents are David and Kelly... Has two siblings, Abbey and Logan... Father David played football at Oklahoma State and Bethany College...
