Smith played for the Irvine Strikers Soccer Club and was a member of the 2000 and 2002 ODP teams.

She played four years of soccer at University High in Irvine, Calif...also ran the 100-meters in track, winning the league championship in her freshman and sophomore seasons...member of the honor roll all four years.
