THIS SEASON: Scholl will redshirt during the 2002 season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee during the spring.
JIM MILLINDER SAYS: "I think Stephanie will be able to use this season to see what the coaches are doing and utilize that knowledge next year."
2001: Started in nine matches in her 2001 junior season...started the last six games of the season...recorded her lone assist on Nov. 2 in a 1-0 win against Washington State.
2000: As a 2000 sophomore, she played in every match and made seven starts...recorded her lone goal of the season on Sept. 8 vs. Baylor in a 3-1 victory...recorded two assists on the season (Vanderbilt and Oregon State)...registered three shots in a match three times (UC Irvine, Baylor and Arizona).
1999: Played in four matches as a 1999 freshman as a defender and attempted one shot.
HIGH SCHOOL: Scholl was a two-time (1998-99) All-CIF Southern Section and Daily Breeze All-Area first teamer while playing sweeper at South Torrance (Calif.) High...made the NSCAA All-Far West team as a senior...named as the Bay League's Co-Most Outstanding Player as a senior and an All-League first teamer as a junior...scored 11 goals as a junior from the sweeper position...member of the South Torrance team that was the CIF co-champion her junior year, the first time a girls' team had won a title there...was a scholar-athlete at South Torrance...also a setter on the volleyball team for two years and earned All-League honorable mention notice...played for the Fram Sportsklubben club team for six years...made the Olympic Development Program Under-17 district team.
PERSONAL: Majoring in communications...hobbies include swimming, volleyball, snowboarding and spending time with friends...lists the toughest players she has faced as U.S. National Team members Carla Overbeck and Joy Fawcett...born on Sept. 5, 1981.
