    Shayla Sabin enters her first season as director of operations for USC women's soccer. Sabin was a goalkeeper at Cal State Fullerton, coached by Ali Khosroshahin and Laura Janke from 2004-06. After graduation, she taught at Shorecliffs Middle School and later at San Clemente High School, where she also coached the girls' soccer team.

    A scholar-athlete at Cal State Fullerton, was named 2007 Big West Goalkeeper of the Year. In high school, Sabin won four straight CIF soccer championships at San Clemente High, as well as two CIF basketball titles. In club soccer, she played for both the SoCal Blues and the Slammers FC.

    Born and raised in San Clemente, Calif., Sabin received her bachelor's degree in kinesiology in 2008 from Cal State Fullerton and finished her teaching credential in 2009.
