    Rachel Smith enters her first season at USC.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Smith was a three-time all-league first team pick out of Dos Pueblos High in Goleta, Calif.... Earned All-CIF Southern Section honors in 2012 and 2013... A second team all-league pick as a freshman in 2010... Played in 72 games during her career, scoring 40 goals with 25 assists... Played club for Santa Barbara Soccer Club and Eagles... Was in ODP summer pool in 2010 and 2011... A member of Dos Pueblos Triathlon Club... An honor student.

    PERSONAL: Smith has not decided on a major... Parents are Scott and Michelle, Has one sister, Megan... Her father Scott went to grad school at USC after playing football at Cal (1980-84)... Her uncle David played rugby at Cal; aunt Sue Eccleston played basketball at Chico; uncle Tom Eccleston played baseball at Chico State and for the Brewers; Her grandfather Jim Smith played football at Penn State and for the Rams... Grandfather Tom Eccleson played baseball at West Point... Enjoys going to the beach and playing in the ocean in her free time... Lists Michelle Akers as her biggest sports hero...
