    This Season

    Peterson starts the season as the team's No. 1 goalkeeper and has an opportunity to increase her school season and career record marks.


    In her 2003 junior season, Peterson played every minute as USC's starting goalkeeper...had a 9-8-4 record with a 1.14 goals-against-average with seven shutouts on the season, earning All-Pac-10 second team honors...set the school record for career shutouts on Nov. 9 with her 15th in a 3-0 victory at Oregon State, surpassing the record of 14 held by Laura Badagliacco (1994-97)...tied her own school record from 2002 with three straight shutouts (Sept. 21 vs. UC Irvine, Set. 26 at No. 18 Santa Clara and Sept. 28 vs. Loyola Marymount)...registered 10 saves in the Nov. 9 match at Oregon State.


    As a 2002 sophomore, Peterson turned in one of the best seasons ever for a USC goalkeeper...went 10-7-3 with a 0.92 goals-against-average...set school records for most shutouts (eight) and shutouts in consecutive matches (three)...recorded her eighth and final shutout of the season on Nov. 15 in a 1-0 win against San Diego in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Los Angeles...faced 21 shots, making 10 saves, in a 1-0 double overtime loss at UCLA on Nov. 17 in a second-round tournament match...her streak of three straight shutouts came on Sept. 6 vs. No. 5 Penn State, Nov. 8 vs. No. 2 Virginia and Sept. 13 vs. Vanderbilt...had a season-high 10 saves twice, both against UCLA (Oct. 27 and Nov. 17)...recorded back-to-back shutouts on Sept. 21 vs. BYU and Sept. 27 vs. San Diego...made four saves in another shutout against No. 8 Santa Clara on Oct. 6 in a 1-0 win at McAlister Field...another McAlister Field shutout came on Oct. 13 vs. No. 7 California in a 2-0 decision.


    Peterson played in two matches in her 2001 freshman season...made her collegiate debut on Sept. 21 vs. UC Irvine, earning the win with a 3-2 overtime victory...played in the second half on Oct. 14 vs. Arizona.

    High School

    She earned first-team All-CIF honors while at Santa Margarita High in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif...earned All-Orange County and All-Serra League honors...named team's most valuable player in her senior season...named Serra League defensive most valuable player in her senior season...also a member of the California Scholarship Federation and principal's honor roll.


    She is majoring in communications...parents are Wayne and Sylvia...enjoys being with friends and going to the movies in her spare time...lists Whose Line Is It Anyway? as her favorite TV show...lists Pay It Forward as her favorite movie...born on Oct. 11, 1982.
