THIS SEASON: Nakano can play in the midfield or in the backfield and will aid the team off the bench.

2000: Played in only one game as a 2000 junior.
1999: Improved over the course of the season and saw her playing time increase accordingly as a 1999 sophomore defender...played in 14 games, all off the bench, and attempted one shot.
1998: Served as a reserve midfielder as a 1998 freshman who played in nine games and took two shots.
HIGH SCHOOL: Nakano played sweeper at Fountain Valley (Calif.) High, where she made the All-County second team and the All-Sunset League first team as a senior...earned the team's Best Defense award as a junior and senior...was named to the Orange County Girls' Soccer Coaches Association All-Star team following her senior year...earned scholar with distinction academic honors at Fountain Valley...played club soccer with North Huntington Beach and the CRSC Riptide.
PERSONAL: She is majoring in computer science at USC and has a 3.56 GPA...made the 1999 Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention team...birthdate is Dec. 10, 1980.
