Birthdate:

THIS SEASON: Mora should be a lock for a starting position as a defender in her senior campaign.

JIM MILLINDER SAYS: "Susie comes in her final season and has been one of the foundation builders of the program. She has gained valuable experience the last two years with the Mexican National Team and has been a solid contributor in the back. I think Susie is a very good one-on-one defender and very good in the air, although she will be pressed hard this year by some incoming freshmen. She has gained valuable experience in three years and that is something that is difficult to gain overnight; she should be a starter for us this year."

MEXICAN NATIONAL TEAM: Mora first played with Mexico in the CONCACAF World Cup qualifying tournament in August of 1998...started all three matches at defender in the 1999 Women's World Cup as Mexico went 0-3...also played in the 1999 Pan Am Games as a defender, as Mexico won the silver medal.

1999: Mora won a starting position early in the season and did a commendable job as a 1999 junior...played in all 20 games and started 17.

1998: Mora was a key reserve defender as a 1998 sophomore...played in 18 games, starting once...took two shots and had an assist against Arizona...missed the first two matches of the season due to the World Cup qualifying tournament...her club team, the Mission Viejo Shamrocks, won the Under-19 national championship in the summer of 1998 (though Mora was injured and did not play in the finals).

1997: Susie did a good job as a part-time starter at defender as a 1997 freshman...appeared in all 20 games and started eight, while attempting four shots.

HIGH SCHOOL: Mora was named to the 1997 All-CIF Southern Section Division II, Orange County Register All-Orange County and All-Sea View League first teams as a senior at Santa Margarita High in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., and was also named the team's Defensive Player of the Year...following the season, she played in a postseason all-star game featuring the top seniors in the area...Mora also made the 1996 Orange County Register All-Orange County second team and All-Sea View League first team as a junior...Santa Margarita won the Sea View League title each of the three years she lettered there and won the CIF Division I championship in 1997...was on the Santa Margarita honor roll...her club team, the Mission Viejo Shamrocks, had a second-place national finish in 1995.

PERSONAL: Majoring in education...enjoys dancing and camping...birthdate is Jan. 26, 1979.
