    Sammy Jo Prudhomme named Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Year, while Mandy Freeman Earned Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year.

    2015NSCAA All-Pacific Region Second Team honorsAll-Pac-12 Second Team honoree…Started all 23 games as a holding midfielder for the Trojans…Tallied two goals and was tied for the team-high with 6 assists for 10 points on the year…Scored the first goal of her career in a 2-0 victory at Saint Mary’s on Sept. 20…Also added an assist on the second goal at Saint Mary’s (Sept. 20) in addition to an assist against Pacific on Sept. 18, winning Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week honors (Sept. 14-20), the first such honor of her career…Tallied the game-winning goal vs. Utah, a 1-0 victory on Oct. 23…Added assists vs. UC Riverside (Aug. 28), at Pacific (Sept. 18), at Saint Mary’s (Sept. 20), vs. Arizona State (Oct. 9), vs. Colorado (Oct. 25), at UCLA (Nov. 6).

    As a sophomore, Freeman appeared in all 21 games, starting all but two, mostly as a defender...Her lone assist was a big one in a 1-0 victory over Washington State (Nov. 2).

    As a true freshman, Freeman started all 20 games for the Trojans on the back line...She earned All-Pac-12 First Team honors, becoming the first Trojan to earn the honor since 2009 and the first true freshman to earn the honor since Olympian Amy Rodriguez in 2005...She also earned a spot on the Pac-12 All-Freshman team...She was named to the Minnesota Gold Classic All-Tournament Team, and was also selected CS360 National Freshman of the Week on October 15...Tallied her first career point in the first game of the season, an assist in a 4-1 victory over San Diego State.

    NATIONAL TEAMS: Was called up to camp for the U.S. Under-23 camp in 2016...Freeman was a member of the U.S. Under-20 National Team... Competed in Under-17 World Cup qualifying... Has also been a member of the U.S. Under-15 and Under-14 teams.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Freeman was named an NSCAA High School All-American from 2011-13 out of Atlantic Community High in Delray Beach, Fla.... Scored 10 goals and had 12 assists as a senior... A two-time all-county first team pick and four-time all-conference first team selection... Also was the district champion in the 100m, 200m and long jump form 2010-13... Played club for Boca United, Team Boca and Renegades/Coral Springs United.

    PERSONAL: Majoring psychology... Parents are Hazel Lucas and Mark Freeman... Has three siblings, Ashley Harris, Tiara Smith and William Freeman... Her sister Ashley played soccer, softball and ran track at Florida... Her sister Tiara played soccer at South Alabama... Her mother Hazel was on the track and field team and danced at Rutgers... Lists beating Canada in the Under-17 World Cup qualifiers as her most thrilling sports moment... Enjoys drawing, painting and reading in her free time... Has always wanted to work on a farm and go cave-diving... Hopes to travel to Italy, Australia, China and Japan... Born March 23, 1995.
