Samantha Johnson enters her first season at USC.

NATIONAL TEAMS: Johnson is a member of the U.S. Under-18 National Team and a U-20 pool player... Also was on the U.S. U-17 Women's World Cup Team in 2008, winning a silver medal... Won 2008 U-17 CONCACAF championship... Also competed with the U-16 National Team in 2007 and U-15 Team in 2006.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2009 Parade All-American, Johnson set the school scoring record with 104 goals in her high school career at Highland High in Palmdale, Calif... With 39 goals scored in 2006, set the Golden League single-season record and was fourth in Southern California in scoring... A 2007 and 2008 NSCAA All-American... A three-time all-league first-teamer... Played club for Real Socal, winning 2008 State Cup.

PERSONAL: Johnson has not declared a major but hopes to pursue a career in sports medicine... Parents are Joanel Lusk and Philip Johnson...
