THIS SEASON
Samantha Johnson enters her junior season at USC as a physical and quick striker who can create scoring chances for herself and her teammates.
2010
Johnson appeared in all 22 games and started eight as a sophomore... Matched her freshman year scoring total with four goals... Scored the game-winning goal at Eastern Washington... Finished with eight points in the season.
2009
Johnson appeared in 20 games with 19 starts as a freshman... Was second on the team in goals (4), assists (4) and points (12)... Scored the game-winning goal in USC's 1-0 win over Oklahoma State on Sept. 20... Named to Pac-10 All-Freshman Team... First career goal came vs. Cal State Fullerton on Sept. 4... Also added her first career assists vs. Cal State Fullerton, assisting on the game-winner and also on the final USC goal.
NATIONAL TEAMS
Johnson was a member of the U.S. Under-18 National Team and is a U-20 pool player... Also was on the U.S. U-17 Women's World Cup Team in 2008, winning a silver medal... Won 2008 U-17 CONCACAF championship... Also competed with the U-16 National Team in 2007 and U-15 Team in 2006.
HIGH SCHOOL
A 2009 Parade All-American, Johnson set the school scoring record with 104 goals in her high school career at Highland High in Palmdale, Calif... With 39 goals scored in 2006, set the Golden League single-season record and was fourth in Southern California in scoring... A 2007 and 2008 NSCAA All-American... A three-time all-league first-teamer... Played club for Real Socal, winning 2008 State Cup.
