THIS SEASON: With a strong training camp, Goza has an opportunity to break into the starting lineup. The freshman will be able to gain valuable experience behind veteran defenders.
JIM MILLINDER SAYS: "Nicole is a solid defender. She is mentally tough and has a nice left and right foot. I would expect her to get a lot of playing time immediately. She is a very tenacious defender, has good leg speed and has a very good understanding of the game. She is a great person and will develop into a very good player."
HIGH SCHOOL: Goza earned three-time all-league honors at Carondelet High in Concord, Calif...led a defense that allowed only four goals in her junior and senior years...team was ranked No. 1 in the nation by USA Today...two-time all-county selection and was named three times to the Nor-Cal state team...also earned All-Far West honors...was a member of Carondelet's student council and honor roll.
PERSONAL: Her favorite player is Michael Jordan and likes his work ethic....enjoys going to the beach and hanging out with her friends...birthdate is May 17, 1982.
