THIS SEASON Kate Gong enters her second season with the Trojans.
2007: Gong joined the Trojan roster as a walk-on and appeared in one game.
HIGH SCHOOL: Gong was a forward on the three-time league champion team at Lowell High in San Francisco, Calif... Named the All-City MVP in 2003 and 2004, and received All-City Honorable Mention in 2002... Set a city record with seven goals scored in a singles game in 2003... Team also was Transbay champs in 2002 and 2004... Played club for San Francisco Vikings and Oakland Bay Oaks.
PERSONAL: Gong is majoring in English... Parents are Erika Delacorte and David Gong... Has a twin brother, Steven... Lists Indian food, pizza and oatmeal as her favorite foods and "Diva" as her favorite movie... Says some of her favorite pastimes away from soccer are traveling, cycling, reading and writing... Birthdate is June 9, 1986.
