THIS SEASON
Kate Cutting enters her first season at USC.
HIGH SCHOOL: Cutting was an All-San Diego Section First Team selection as a senior out of Torrey Pines High in Carmel Valley, Calif.... Also an all-league first team pick in 2007, 2008 and 2009...Was the 2008 Palomar League Player of the Year as well as the North County and CIF San Diego Section Division I Player of the Year... Won three straight section titles... Team also won four league championships... A scholar-athlete and San Diego Union Tribune All-Academic first-teamer... Played club for Rancho Santa Fe Attack.
PERSONAL: Cutting is majoring in communications and hopes to work in sports public relations in the future... Parents are Randy and Carol... Has two siblings, Tom and Ali... Brother and sister also attend USC, as did several other family members... Enjoys waterskiing, hiking and snowboarding in her free time... Lists Landon Donovan as her biggest sports hero... Would like to travel to Spain and Africa... Active in Christian athlete organizations and other charity work... Birthdate is June 4, 1991.
