THIS SEASON
A lock on defense for the Trojans, Mia Bruno enters her second season at USC coming off a knee injury sustained in the spring.
2010
Bruno appeared in all 22 games and started 21 as a freshman defender... Scored two goals to hold four points in the season... First career goal was vs. Northern Arizona... Also scored vs. Stanford.
NATIONAL TEAMS
Bruno is a member of the U.S. Under-18 National Team Pool... Also a member of the Cal South Olympic Development Team since 2005... Attended 2006 U-14 ID National Camp, and was a member of the U-15 National Team in 2006 & 2007.
HIGH SCHOOL
Bruno was named a 2008 and 2009 NSCAA All-American out of Palos Verdes Peninsula High School in Palos Verdes, Calif.... Also named to the 2008 and 2009 All-Area Bay League Team... Played club for Slammers FC, winning the State Championship in 2007 and 2010... A member of Spanish Honors Society and a CSF Gold Seal Bearer in 2010.
PERSONAL
Bruno has not declared a major but would like to someday become a doctor... Parents are Steve and Elizabeth... Has two sisters, Natalie and Hannah, and one brother, Joseph... Her favorite food is curry and her favorite movies are `Donnie Darko' and `The Graduate'... Would like to take a road trip across the country with friends and go backpacking in Europe...
